Kitchen Remodel Checklist for Modesto & the Central Valley

Get clear on what you are doing before you spend a dollar.
 

• List what is not working now: storage, counter space, layout, lighting, or outdated appliances
• Decide how you use the kitchen: everyday cooking, entertaining, homework and gathering, or all of it
• Gather inspiration photos of the look you want
• Decide whether you are refreshing finishes or changing the layout
• Note any must-haves, like an island, a walk-in pantry, or room for two cooks

• Decide whether to open up a wall for an open-concept kitchen
• Choose whether to add an island, and how you will use it (prep, seating, storage)
• Plan your cabinetry and storage: deep drawers, a pantry, and a place for everything
• Plan your lighting: task lighting over the counters and island, plus ambient light for the room

• Confirm every detail meets your expectations
• Test every appliance, faucet, drawer, and cabinet door
• Get your workmanship warranty details in writing
• Keep the care and maintenance information for your new finishes
