This Los Banos project started as a homeowner looking to update the kitchen and bathrooms, but it quickly became clear that the home needed a more complete approach. Rather than updating each space separately, the goal shifted to improving how the home functioned as a whole while bringing everything together with consistent finishes.
The work included the kitchen, guest bathroom, master bathroom, and interior living areas, with a focus on upgrading systems, improving layout where needed, and tying the entire home together.
As we walked through the home, the existing layout and systems were limiting how the spaces could be used day to day. The kitchen lighting and electrical needed to be reworked to support a more functional setup, and both bathrooms were ready for updates to fixtures, finishes, and overall usability.
At the same time, the home had been updated in pieces over the years, so one of the goals was to make everything feel connected instead of separate projects done at different times.
The kitchen required a full electrical reconfiguration, including recessed lighting, pendant lighting, and dedicated circuits for appliances. Plumbing was updated to accommodate a new farm sink, garbage disposal, oven, microwave, and hood vent. Cabinetry was modified to support the updated layout, and the space was finished with quartz countertops, a full backsplash, and finish carpentry details.
The guest bathroom was updated with a new tub and shower assembly, including a tiled surround with a recessed niche. Plumbing fixtures were replaced, and the electrical system was improved with new lighting, GFCI outlets, and ventilation.
In the master bathroom, the work included installation of a new jacuzzi tub with a dedicated circuit, a dual vanity setup, and updates to the shower area. New flooring was installed throughout the bathroom and closet, along with improvements to lighting and ventilation to better support everyday use.
Additional work throughout the home included installation of pre-engineered flooring, new baseboards, crown molding, and wainscoting in select areas. Custom built-ins, including an entertainment center, were constructed, and sheetrock, patching, and texture work were completed to tie all areas together.
As part of a later phase, the project also included full cabinet refinishing and interior painting. This involved extensive surface preparation, followed by multiple coats of primer and finish to achieve a consistent and durable result across cabinets, walls, ceilings, and trim.
Instead of treating each area as its own project, the focus was on making sure all updates worked together. Electrical, plumbing, and cabinetry changes in the kitchen were planned around how the space would actually be used, while the bathrooms were updated with both functionality and long-term durability in mind.
A big part of the work was making sure everything tied into the existing home properly. Modifications were done in a way that supported the new layout without creating issues elsewhere, and the finish work was handled with the level of prep needed to hold up over time.
The finished project brought the home together into a more functional and consistent living space. The kitchen now supports everyday use more efficiently, the bathrooms are updated and practical, and the finishes throughout the home feel connected from one area to the next.

This Fremont project was a full home remodel completed for a returning client who had purchased the property as an investment. The home was in poor condition and not livable at the start, requiring a complete overhaul from demo through final finishes.
The goal was to take a property that needed significant work and bring it back to a clean, functional, and market-ready condition while handling both design and construction.
At the time of the initial walkthrough, the home was not in a condition that could be lived in. There were issues with odor from long-term smoking, signs of rodent infestation, and overall neglect from the property being left unattended.
Beyond the cosmetic condition, the home needed updates across all major systems and finishes. The client’s goal was to have the project handled from start to finish, including design decisions, so the process could move efficiently.
The project started with a full interior demo of the kitchen and both bathrooms, along with removal of materials throughout the home as needed to prepare for the rebuild.
Plumbing and electrical systems were updated to support new fixtures, appliances, and lighting throughout the home. This included kitchen plumbing, multiple bathroom fixtures, new lighting layouts, fans, switches, and safety devices such as smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
New cabinetry was installed in the kitchen and bathrooms, paired with quartz countertops and updated sinks and fixtures. The upstairs shower was refinished rather than replaced, while new shower doors were installed to complete the space.
Interior finishes included new baseboards, doors, hardware, mirrors, and trim work throughout the home. Flooring was updated with LVT on the first floor and new carpet on the second story and staircase.
The entire home was prepped and painted using a primer designed to address existing odor issues, followed by a full paint application to create a clean and consistent finish. Additional work included garage prep and paint, exterior cleaning, and yard cleanup.
The first priority on this project was getting the home back to a clean baseline. That meant addressing not just visible issues, but underlying conditions like odor and air quality before moving into finish work.
Once the home was stabilized, the focus shifted to rebuilding it in a way that made sense for the intended use as an investment property. The goal was to create a clean, durable, and consistent product without overcomplicating the design.
Because the client wanted us to handle both design and construction, decisions were made to keep the project moving efficiently while still delivering a finished product that would perform well in the market.
The finished home is a complete turnaround from where it started. What was once an unlivable property is now clean, functional, and ready for occupancy.
Updated systems, new finishes, and a consistent design throughout the home bring everything together into a space that is both practical and presentable. The project achieved its goal of transforming the property into a market-ready home.
Mario has done two remodels for me, and he has exceeded my expectations each time. The second project was a complete top-to-bottom remodel, and Mario handled every aspect from paint to flooring. I was especially impressed with his communication and the value he provided throughout the entire process. I HIGHLY recommend Cordeiro Remodeling!
